AG104 Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Just started noticing this bug the past few months... please see my video capture below. Seems to appear on explosions on the ground and the subsequent smoke stack, engine rev-ups, and even aircraft on fire. Shell impacts as well can create an extraordinarily bright light-fx on the aircraft. https://youtu.be/swuw10T7TE4 Running on an Nvidia GTX970 - I can provide more details if necessary. Thanks! AG104
BornToBattle Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 (edited) Hmmm...that is odd. We’ve all come to accept the disappearing/reappearing smoke (of course there is a mod for that, but no official fix yet) but this I’ve yet to encounter. Seems to be an isolated incident, perhaps. Have you recently updated card drivers? Conversely, is the driver up to date? I’m assuming you’ve a.ready done the obvious here, which is eliminating suspects by way of any sort of changes to the system or mods installed in the game since you’ve noticed this. Sometimes it’s the small obvious things that we overlook or forget that give us the most hair pulling. Wish I had a definitive answer for ya. Edited February 24, 2019 by BornToBattle

I'm up to date on the drivers -- I'm actually in the process of re-installing the game tonight to see if that helps. I deleted all the files too to just double check if something was tripping up. Honestly I love this game so much I can live with it... but just hadn't seen it this bad before where the smoke stacks were synchronizing the light effect. Was hoping it was a known bug... I do see someone else has it beside me though. I'll keep tinkering away and post any updates & attempts to fix it. Cheers, AG104
AG104 Posted March 9, 2019 Author Posted March 9, 2019 Alright! Found the issue... I have an Nvidia GTX 970 card, updated drivers, etc. After a lot of testing it was the "Antialiasing - Transparency". I have to turn it "Off" completely, and that fixed it! Hope this helps some.

I got the same issue but disabling the antialiasing transparency makes the ground shimmering and frankly looks extremely bad, it certainly is not a good solution. I will try to revert back to another video card driver, hoping it will work. The issue appeared after the Dora update for me. Edited March 22, 2019 by =FEW=Hauggy
=FEW=Hauggy Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Still not managed to fix it, reported for the devs to have a look at this, also disabling the AA transparency makes the game look pretty awful imo.
