1.JaVA_KEBEN Posted February 23, 2019 Posted February 23, 2019 (edited) After testing for hours and trying why my new 2k screen does not run smoothly with il2 I went back to my old 1k screen .it is less beautiful, but the game runs much smoother ... but .. I have been testing through with my old 1k screen . Today I come across something strange ... I am never in the gunner position so I had not noticed. While taking control of the gunner, the picture does not run smoothly with 60 fps. If I then give the control back to the ai then the picture runs smoothly while I look around with my track-ir .... and still a fixed 60 fps Here under the link to youtube, is there a way to solve this or is this just a bugg in the game ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJZPn-VwJaA&feature=youtu.be Win 10 32,0GB RAM NVIDIA GTX 1080 with the latest drivers intel core I7-7700@3.60GHz Edited February 23, 2019 by 1.JaVA_KEBEN

"2K" normally refers to a horizontal resolution of about 2000 pixels. 1080p Full HD at 1920x1080 pixels is the nearest common resolution. I do not know what "1K" could possibly mean. Regardless, the GTX 1080 should deliver flawless performance with the highest settings at any resolution below 4K. The i7-7700 is also adequate as long as it reaches 4.2 GHz. Either your system is not performing as it should or you are misinterpreting the resolution. As for the stutter, I really don't know. I see no difference in the video, but that's just the nature of recordings. It may be something to do with the TrackIR input itself or the display showing duplicate frames. Once the resolution issue is clarified, I'd recommend troubleshooting with default Nvidia and game settings. Edited February 24, 2019 by Mitthrawnuruodo 1

1.JaVA_KEBEN Posted February 24, 2019 Author Posted February 24, 2019 It is not my system, because that goes well with every program. only il2 has problems

Difficult situation. Good for the first, please change your NVidia settings "Energiebeheermodus" from "Optimaal vermogen" to "Maximaal vermogen" (sorry, I don't speak Dutch) and as TrackIR user reconsider your settings in the camera options. Something like this: Hope this will help you a bit. 1
1.JaVA_KEBEN Posted February 24, 2019 Author Posted February 24, 2019 (edited) I see that you learned dutch quickly ;-) Here a the options i have 1. optimaal vermogen ( optimum power) 2. adaptief 3 . verkies optimale prestatie ( prefer optimal performance ) i have option 1 , is this the good option ? sometimes things are difficult to explain without being able to show them live. my English is not that great either ... so it's quite an annoying problem. I have the idea that it is in one of the latest updates of il2. Previously I never bothered, but now it is clearly visible on a screen with the resolution of 2560x1440 144 hz. On my old screen 1920x1080 27 inch there were no problems at first, but now it is it a bit visible, but it does not bother me . omly on a 2k monitor its clearly visible , and no fun to play ... Its like playing on a old pc with max 35 fps Edited February 24, 2019 by 1.JaVA_KEBEN
1.JaVA_KEBEN Posted February 24, 2019 Author Posted February 24, 2019 (edited) Here is a log of the msi afterburner. This on a screen of 1k (1920x1080). when i test this with a 2k monitor, my gpu load shoots to 95%... then the view problems are really bad This test is on the FMB , with two planes ... more planes in the mission give me the same results . =TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 GPU Should not be set to optimal Power.. should be force to use max power always when il2 running GTX1060 + FX8350 will pull consistant 60fps on Ultra preset Max terrain and Horizon 150km Ultra grass just no SSAO. So as you not getting that on GTX1080 maybe scaling issues causing input lag or do you have "ingame Input Filter under joystick turned up above 50% will add extra lag 20-50ms or something. 1

This setting ?? Okay, I put the fiter on 1 for a moment and see what you mean. It is indeed the same effect, but the filter is at 0 so it is unfortunately not. It looks like this with a 2k screen . if the filter is set to 1but it is on 0 in the game Edited February 24, 2019 by 1.JaVA_KEBEN
