Coop Career?

Good day,

 

My understanding was that there is now a way to have a coop pilot (a buddy)  participate in at least the mission portion of your career, if not in the shell portion. How do you set that up? I can't really see any settings that would allow for someone else to pilot a plane in a career mode. This is for the stock career, not the PWCG (although I am not sure how to do it in that one either, got to play around some more!) Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

U either use PWCG or wait for the developers to introduce the feature as they said they would (most likely) do in the future.

Thank you, I thought it was already in, but maybe I am just confusing that with coop multiplayer in general.

They will not be introducing it any time soon, if at all.  From Jason's recent interview with Stormbirds it is clear that they have no iplans to implement COOP career  in-game and they are more than satisfied that PWGC is sufficient to meet that need.  See https://stormbirds.blog/2019/02/06/part-1-an-interview-with-jason-williams-and-daniel-tuseev-il-2-great-battles-series/. Interestingly Jsaon says it is "not a long range goal" yet right after that Daniel Tuseev says it is a long range goal.  It would be nice to know what the official,position is here though I expect Jason sets the priorities.

They have still that in mind, but since Pat is on it (big way, if you haven't already, check out Pat's plan, it's awesome), they are not working on it, waiting for PWCG to implement and see where to go from there.

 

The best bet currently is to go for PWCG, it already has a functional coop generator, and it will only get better
