IL2 tank kill rate

Some of these guys flying IL2s have a 90% or better kill rate per pass against tanks.  They fire one rocket per pass and get a kill nearly each time.  Its just ... awesome.

In Russian accuracy testing the RS-82 had a hit rate of less than 4% at 300m and the RS-132 had a hit rate of 1.5% at 200m.

Hopefully they will make tank multiplayer matches built like this to avoid these suicide planes and balancing:

Make the match historical mission based: Fixed numbers of Tigers, panzer IIIs and T-34s and airplanes, few or many of each type of tank/airplane depending on the battle situation. Lots of weak T-34s against few Tiger tanks as an example. So those players who crash their airplanes on purpose will soon run out of airplanes, giving the axis monopoly in the air: each airplane will do its best to return back to base instead of kamikaze attacks.

Yeah I hope for that too. I certainly would not like to see the same setup we currently have in the EFront server where Tigers are infinite and planes, which BTW are not even placed according to their historical dates (K4s, G14s, Spits), just keep spawning everywhere even if there are lost.

I like the current set as it allows everybody a chance to do something, until TC Cap is fully released and then hopefully we will get some good historical accurate (ish) tank and aircraft servers!  I just get annoyed when people do not try and balance the sides and you end up with 10 against 2 (either side as does change) then players complain when they are continually killed by an aircraft.

Anyway, hopefully it will all be addressed!

You have to understand that in this sim, many of the "pilots" have literally thousands of hours of "seat time", whereas in WW2 the average VVS pilot had what?  Maybe a hundred, if they were lucky.  Plus no one in a sim has any real fear.  None.

Well as most servers here are either imagined or suggested, and currently not really accurate, I guess anything in the right direction is a BillyB!

However, a server that is perhaps based on historical/factual evidence would be great, although I guess I will have to wait for Black6 to make a SP campaign for that to occur, as I'm sure most MP servers will have locks etc for whatever reason(s).

Big bombs are locked for a reason. A good bomber will do his job with a 100 kg bomb or even smaller.
