Swing Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 Hi Guys The question is in the title...What is this option for and what is its impact on the game performance ?......(The settings are 20km, 50km or unlimited)...
356thFS_Melonfish Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 I've set pretty much everything at max and i've really not seen much of a performance hit at all, i'm running an older i5 6790k (or 6790k I can't remember) unlocked and oc'd to 4.2ghz and a GTX 970. i rarely get below 60fps @ 1920 res when playing multiplayer, pretty much never below 120fps local. view distance wise, i was playing on 40k or something and having a nightmare navigating on none GPS maps, after sticking it at full it's much easier. RedKestrel Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 It controls the distance from your aircraft. at which the map scenery renders. I turned down from maximum to 50 km and found it improved FPS for me on my mid-range system. 1
Remontti Posted March 2, 2019 Posted March 2, 2019 I think Jason posted it somewhere that this has nothing to do with the "bubble" around the player. Instead it was related to how much stuff is loaded around the waypoints in a mission. 1
