Japanese Planes on the West Coast and a Russian Connection, the Zero below apparently was refurbished by a Russian company, if memory serves this was the Zero they used the original source material that was translated from technical Japanese:

We have a flying Zeke and Oscar up this way. :)

I go and watch them every year...there is just nothing like watching a Zeke fly...absolutely beautiful.

Is that the FHC collection?  If so I sure hope that FHC continues operation now that its founder past away.  Tried to get there when the Mossy was scheduled to fly this past year but it was put back a week and we had other plans that weekend.

I managed to touch the wing tip of the 262 at the Air Force museum in Ohio when nobody was looking, but I can’t imagine which 262 they managed to acquire ?

edit- I looked it up it ...

It’s interesting that they’re going to rebuild the original engines and use them to fly it with, I wonder how many hours they expect to get out of them, using presumably contemporary materials one might think quite a lot, the cost of it though, wow, would really be something to see  though
