Well, first of all: Did you check my suggestions written above with screen shots?

Second: Are we possibly talking about single player / career mode? If so, you might have the wrong settings for your system, especially

check the options here:

Density of the front-line activity may have a great impact on performance - set it to "Scattered". There is still a lot of action and it helps

to keep a good performance (no stutter).

OK - when I play online - for example BERLOGA - when I hit the cockpit and move my head for the first time in flight

with my TrackIR, I have a little stutter, but only at the beginning when I move my head for the first time, after this I

can move my head as I like and it's smooth like butter, believe me.

Oke , whe talk about the whole game . With a 2k display the problems are stuttering en little freezes … makes me crazy ..it dont feel smooth anymore . Free sync on makes it more worse , and every other setting of fps dont work …. less fps , more little freezes  ( like you in berlonga , but then all the time  ) ..now i instal my old 32  philips tv display and everything feel oke ….( 1k display )

Smooth view en almost no stutters and freezes ..   with mij new LG 32GK650F 144 hz /freesync monitor it freezes like hell ……. pppffffffttttt  .. four days trying and no joy  ;-)

i begin to think its the LG who makes the problems    drivers ???

If you watch this movie on a big screen and full HD then it is a bit visible.the image stops occasionally for a split second

Test testing tests .... but here I have some measurements. With a 2k screen the gpu runs at 96% and with a 1k screen it only runs at just 50%. Both screens are 32 inch. See the results in the videos.

the top movie is with a 2 k screen, the bottom one with a 1k screen ..... maybe 32 inch with 2k is a bit too much for the 1080

It's pretty simple, if your GPU is at 99% usage then your gpu is working full tax and there is nothing to do for increase the FPS, just change for a new and more powerful one. But if your GPU is working at half power and isn't throttling, clocks are good etc, then the CPU is the problem, the game is pretty demanding on CPUs.

Hi, I still get this, but it depends which mission servers are running.  Not sure why. It is much better than it was 6 months ago, but still not totally gone.  Wish the devs could move all the location data to be on the server only for MP. You get this in single player also?

Posted (edited)

Yep , also in the single player ..but i think i found the problem

My gpu runs at 96% with the 2k settings en that give me freezes ( small ones )  , when i set the screen on 1k 1920x1080 the gpu rius on max  45 %  en runs good and no stutters and small freezes

I think the gtx 1080 is not the best card for 2k

No problem m8, just to understand more the problem, do you play using vsync? I found strange that you have such low GPU usage on 1080p, I have a 4790k@4.4Ghz paired with a GTX1070, and I play over 100fps using GSync.

No v sync  , its a free sync monitor  . I send him back and try another one  .

https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-32GK650F-B-gaming-monitor

Nvidia now also supports v sync, so I just bought this screen. unfortunately it does not work for a 1080. The image is beautiful and runs at 144 fps, but every few seconds I get stutters.the image is just too slow, 144 fps, but a slow image ... difficult to explain

with my 1k monitor no problems, but with my 2k monitor the picture is slow but it runs at 120 to 144 fps

At 5.5 kiliometer height, more problems arise. Then you clearly see a slide show with 120 fps. When I look around then you see the clouds jump like a slide show

freesync off, motion blur off, 144hz mointor settings

today a test with the 2k monitor

set it to

60 fps  and 1680x1050   , run a test and the gpu on 45%

Then i turn the setting to

2k and 144 fps , run a test with the msi afterburner  and the gpu go to 96% ( same monitor , same mission  )

even if the mission starts, the GPU is already up to 96%

 see the picture

It's not your GPU a 1080 should run this game at a smooth framerate at any resolution. There's not too many other cards out there that are better. I think it has something to do with your vsync settings or the monitor settings, make sure there's no game mode settings turned on in the menu for the monitor or that freesync is not on. Nvidia can now use freesync but you must have the monitor hooked up with a displayport cable and nothing else. The gpu being at full load is a good thing. You don't want the gpu at 50% means the gpu's barely working.

What do your nvidia control panel settings look like can you take a screen shot?

There's a vsync setting in the control panel called "fast" I'd give that a try as well unless you have already.

I had tons of stutter before and was two things, the reshade app and vsync forced in nvidia control panel. Check that

oke , i used a displayport cable and i try different settings of free sync ( Its a FREE sync monitor ) Nvidia now also supports free sync, so I just bought this screen.

i cant make a screenshot , i just returned to the shop

but i will buy another monitor , then with real g sync

I can almost guarantee something to do with your monitor/vsync settings was causing your issue.

Something is wrong, you are at 60fps locked, it's vsync man, download anydesk and I will help you with your setup, PM me or send me a email at fw190sturm@gmail.com

That doesn't matter, your system should be able to render much more frames than that, the screen is just able to show 60 as much but that doesn't prevent the system to render 1000fps, so you have a problem in your configuration setup

Edit: just to prove my point I did the same test with a GPU inferior to yours and I have close to 400 fps

Edit 2: I checked your settings and I missed some of them, now I did exactly the same test as you

Oke , long thinking ..more testing and overclock my bios with 19%..i think whe going up

First picture , normal setting bios ...second picture ..overclocking bios with 19%  ;-)

Lst picture on extreme and overcloking bios with 19%

I send the monitor back to the shop , and i will buy a real g sync  … testing this later …. First work hard and earn some money for this more expensive monitor ;-)

Now i now with your input that my system is oke  ..thanks a lot Butcher !

in any case, thank you very much for the input, I will definitely come back to this....can you send me your nvidia stettings ?

Strange, that your results changed soo much, something is strange there, but glad that you tested your setup and isn't lock at 60 FPS now...
