is it too late for a refund for pre order?

As the title says, I cant see this beating IL2: Clod for Multiplayer and to be honest i would be better of with the cash than this game...  Appreciate what your trying to do but with less content, less players and this kind of development censorship I think I'd rather get married than play this...  Its 2014...  We need 200 players a server for MP...  All the games coming out now are broken and support less and less...  is the golden age of gaming dead?   - Probably.

I'm pretty sure that refunds aren't available.

And multiplayer isn't everything you know. All you need is yourself for a good singleplayer experience.

All the games coming out now are broken and support less and less...

No they aren't. The biggest bug I encountered in Halo 4 was... was... I never encountered a bug (unless you count Cortana going insane, but that's part of the plot). And Halo 4's got loads of support. I know how it can seem with all the terrible games coming out, but don't worry, good games will always exist. Edited by Cybermat47

Good to see that you're staying positive with the game less than 50% complete!!

Like all games now released...  Don't blame us its not finished yet...  Give me a break.  Stop hiding behind the % complete excuse.  Is it not due out in March?

Arma 3, DayZ standalone... Anything interesting is alpha or beta...  i remember a time when games were finished on release and we didnt have to pre order to secure the release....  and not so long ago pre order "for fans" was substantially cheaper...

Fan boy attack, lock, ban and subterfuge in 3... 2... 1...

Farber,

To answer your question - no, you can not get a refund.

Back when early access was about to start, and they announced initially it would be Tues-Thurs, I was quite aggravated and pursued that route. I was not able to get one. I travel weekly for my work, and when it was Tues-Thurs I did not get to participate in early access.

That for me now is water under the bridge, it is weekends now and soon to be unlimited, so really now I am glad I was not able to get a refund.

You will most likely have to chalk it up to lesson learned in your case. Perhaps you might "gift" it so someone, that is a possibility where at least someone else could enjoy your copy - and would be a right stand up thing you could do. Or hold onto it and eventually you might like to give it a go again at some point in the future.

I know how you feel, I hate it when I waste money on something I find out I did not really like, but them things can happen from time to time...

Well the way i see it is its over, i can marry some young girl that can slowley turn into an old crow, get a job and live my life in misery like most of your guys...  Golden age of games seems over...  Now all i have to look forward to is a Mad max style ordeal of some kind of Armageddon...

I think you're blowing this out of proportion a bit mate. I'd suggest going for a walk.

It certainly would appear that way.

I don't think so. I think he's just overreacting. Let's just give him some time to calm down.

Well, I can only say I am married to a beautiful bride, whom I love and adore very much, have three beautiful daughters and 9 grandchildren - in the pecking order of important things in my life, computer games are near the bottom of my list...

I do enjoy them, and enjoy building computers, but I truly treasure the time I spend with my wife and family - nothing else quite like it.

Not sure how old you are or your situation, and none of my business really - but hopefully someday you will be able to say similar!

IM ANGRY

The game is awesome. I can't wait. Some of us absolutely loathe Spitfires and Hurricanes (those of us with taste), and this game is perfect of us! I can't wait!

Wow, and I thought I was having a bad day!!!

Farber, maybe try being just a bit positive and optimistic!! As said above, not one of my best days, but I still look forward to coming home and seeing what is new in BOS! As said above by others give them a chance. They could have kept quiet about the whole game untill released and you would have known no better. But, how many games have you had a chance to see and feel what its like to be part of the developement. Some food for thought my friend!

Early access has been in place for 13 weeks (he has a gold founders badge), the developers have posted weekly updates talking about the direction the project is headed and this week saw the release of the IL-2.

What would cause a sudden overreaction?

Some serious stuff could be happening IRL, and he's just taking it out on us.

Either way, I think we should just ignore him. If he's overreacting to something, he'll calm down. If he's a troll, he'll get bored.

Uh, that's not what I was doing. I was actually defending you. I didn't want to believe that you were a troll.

Now you're making me feel like an ass for trying to help you.

More like later in the spring. Could be almost June. I want the big MP too but I'm willing to wait a bit for the dev's to get it right and looking good.

Oh and

IN!  :)

Spring is in October... in Australia ;D
In all seriousness, spring does include May here in the northern longitudes

Why didn't you ask the support via e-mail? You could have gotten your answer faster and more precisely without putting the whole community in a deep shock

He had to make sure the community knew his disappointment, notice how it wasn't a request just for a refund but included reasons as to why he wants a refund.

It's truly ridiculous, you don't go into a store and start yelling at other consumers your reason for returning something - so why is this done on forums?

I have noticed the lack of democracy on this forum from long time. There nothing wrong with him or his opinion about the game and lack of features like coop missions for example.

I bought some planes for RoF to test game engine and after some time practicing offline, I was ready for online action!! And guess what?! No online activity on servers :( Great game but dead online :(

I really like an immersive offline campaign but online is where a game really happens!! That is why I pray for a really good online war for this game and wish best luck to Dev team because there is nothing coming like BoS on the horizon.

I am just a worried player hoping for glory days :)

I wouldn't bet on it..

There's mulitplayer with RoF. I played this past weekend on Wargrounds with 40+ people online. It's just certain times it's dead, but it's WWI and it's always had a much smaller following.

Us criticizing him isn't a lack of democracy. It is democracy. He has an opinion that we don't agree with, so we're disagreeing with him.

And if he really wants his money back, he could've just sent an email or PM to the devs.

I am hoping for just the opposite, really hoping for a strong single player experience with some really good campaigns. Also looking forward to see what  they do with the career mode.

Hope they don't wait too long into late Spring before releasing, as our summer outdoor activities will be beginning and my gaming time becomes severely limited.

Ok, I think everybody understood Farber isn't happy with the game. It was clear enough. No need to add anything.

For any additionnal complain, he should call the support directly.
