LuftManu Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Hello guys, After expending some months grounded and exclusively flying multiplayer I decided to give career another ride. I loved the career mode when it was released altough it had some flaws. Taking some months to advance trough Stalingrad and then the Kuban was a great experience that made the hype for this announced mode satisfied. Yesterday, after the 3.010 release I tried the Po-2 for the first time and what a blast. Night flying and combat was as refreshing, like the Night fighter campaign I flew from Juri. The AI seemed logical and even though the AI sometimes doesen't do as a human would, the whole package and experience was brilliant and miles ahead of what we had just some months ago. Of course, I had to test it on a more lively combat scenario so I took my P-39 and fought over Novorossysk. Again I was delighted to see a better and more enjoyable AI behaviour. I felt more than ever as part of a huge battle. At the end, I had fun. That's all that matters. Kudos to the devs. This feature is as is it is now really promising and seeing the history of patches and updates I can't wait to fly over Europe and for the Coop version of PWCG. 2 4
LLv24_Zami Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 (edited) Nicely put, pretty much what I think of it at the moment. Campaign and AI has been steadily improving, I`ve had fun in the career mode many times. Edited February 6, 2019 by LLv24_Zami 1 1
Psyrion Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Pretty much agree. As much as I like the thrill of MP, it doesnt give you the same feel or I guess "immersion" as the Career. Now that I can run it woth my new CPU I enjoy it. Novorossysk but in yaks :D. 1

blitze Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 My flight of La5's was flying escort for Pe2's yesterday over Stalingrad. I was shocked to see the La's forming up and flying a Ladder Formation over the bombers. I was in VR but thinking how the heck do I hold this? Imagery, and world detail as well as aircraft are much better in VR even at my relatively low settings. Can't wait till I can bump them up with beefier hardware. The fights I have had in career recently have been very exhausting but satisfying and on a couple occasions where I was tasked with ground attack and our flight was intercepted by the enemy, I would press on with the mission leaving my flight to deal with the attackers only to just make it home by the skin of my teeth with my aircraft looking like Swiss Cheese. Dogging multiple hostiles trying to flee back to safe lines is no easy feat. ? 1
