3 BOOST SWITCH

I'm sure by that time we won't. Be flying planes, maybe space ships?

If I remember correctly every plane as a supercharger, the P38 and p-47 also have turbocharger

La-5 have a boost switch

Fw also have boost switches particularly later versions

P-47 has a boost switch

That is all I remember

One last question under the Realism settings if the ENGINE AUTO CONTROL and THROTTLE AUTO CONTROL are ticked will the boosts work auto or do's one have to press the relevant keys.

boost works automagically then. You can see it for yourself in all of those planes. Look at the appropriate boost levers and you'll see they are in 'on' position.

Every plane has a Specification tab on the briefing page that will tell you that.

And same for the Il-2 (the use virtually the same engin, Mikulin AM-35/AM-38)

The answer to 1) is simple - pretty much all of them, as by the 1930's internal supercharger (usually gear driven) became an ordinary component of every proper aero engine (by "proper" I mean anything bigger than small engines in little training and liason planes like Piper Cub or Po-2 - these remained naturally aspirated, because you don't need blown engine for similar tasks).

Yeah, makes it go up to 1.5 ata, useful for take off. With a bit of flaps and manual pitch to have 3000 RPM it can get in the air rather quickly when fully loaded.
