Landing without rudder not as bad as a missing elevator?

I got the rudder blown off my il2 and it wasn't that bad to control and land.
Which got me thinking what would happen it the elevator got blown off instead?
I have never had the elevator blown clean off before. Usually it gets damaged and it pitches.

Well Im sure the plane would go down if it lost both sides of the elevator I've seen it happen to planes I've shot, this new damage model is a lot more accurate than the previous one.

I lost a rudder in the 109 G6 and it remained flyable while being pretty crippled just like your IL-2.

It used to be ridiculous loosing the rudder would send you into a flat spin instantly.

Now I'm just wondering if the Spitfire remains flyable with half an elevator (wasn't the case before DM change and would also trigger a magic flatspin).
