Are we going to see the VAP-250 bomblets canisters at some point? Like the IL2  in '46 did?

In the "Black Death " track, when the IL2's make their runs on the convoys, they are using the VAP-250's. IIRC.

 

Devastating against anything, that was less armored than a tank.

 

I want 'em too.

in RL canisters can be reset by using of АСШ-141 (ASSH-141), or "сидор" ("sidor") in pilots slang... hmm, although, i cant remember about real use during BOS, and i dont know about availability in game...

 

and, in fact, it's interesting question, which systems will be modeled fully, i mean ESBR-3/ASSH-141/VMSH-2 etc, what i forgot now... well, in official manual even mentions pocket flashlight for night missions...

Me either but I'd love to see them in game. I didn't do any research on it, I don't know if they were even used during this battle. Stryker said something about it on TS so I posted the question. I'm sure the answer is its too early to tell, but as long as we put a bug in their ear about it.

The PTAB anti-tank bomblets are the ones I'm really waiting for, though they weren't around until the Battle of Kursk.

I managed to hit a Fw-190 with a barrage of bomblets at one point, who was stupid enough to pass below me instead of above me 

 

After that, I took the cannisters with me whenever I could. Just remember that you can only use this trick one time per pilot,

as they will never pass beneath you after that one time

I dont know. I still have, and some of the same pilots, trying to kill me on the way to my bombing target. If they are going to insist on shooting me down, and not let me get my bombs on target, I may as well use them for something.

 

I will wait until they are right behind me, laying on my 6, shooting me up, when I drop a couple or a few. I am at ultra low altitude, and the timing has to be right for the fuse delay, but it is hilarious watching a pilot fly his aircraft, right into the bomb blast, and his wings peel away from his AC.

 

But to your point, I have had 1 guy do it 3 times in the last 4 days. Some people never learn. :rolleyes:
