Late 1942 Russian / German tank matchup

Can someone give me a few plausible, even matches for late 42?

 

I’m creating a tank battle for a special mission and T-34 vs PIV is a bit lopsided.

 

I can play with numbers if I need to, just need as close to evenly matched as possible.

Are we talking PvE or PvP? Ground combat or backdrop for air operations? That'll really affect what's feasible for balance.

 

T-34 vs Panzer III and IV is probably the most historical. Unfortunately, late 1942 is a bit early for most of the Tank Crew vehicles. Maybe add a few KV if the T-34s are struggling.

Yes, what you want done is very difficult with the armored vehicles we have now. ?

 

You can try to balance things up a bit with the opponent vehicles AI settings.

 

You can give supporting artillery to the weaker side. 

 

Hopefully as TC keeps developing we will have much more to work with as far a balancing missions is concerned.

The T-34’s seem to be dominating.

T-34s mopped the floors with P III's. Against IV's it was a little more even.

Yea, the Panzer IV F2s are a bit more fragile, but the long 75 on them should be able to pen the T-34 fairly reliably out to say 500 meters.

Would say Panzer IV F2 and later panzer IV´s and T-34-76 are pretty even tanks, whoever gets the first shot on the other will win. Panzer III can take out T-34-76 but T-34 has the advantage.
