dburne Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Hey gang! I am in the hospital and will probably be here another day or two. I am posting this with my I-phone. I have a Kindle Fire but can't figure out how to post in the message body. I tap it but virtual keyboard does not come up nor a cursor. I am hoping someone in here might have one and know? Posting here in general forum as it gets the most traffic and hoping I can find out ASAP. It is much easier for these old eyes to see the Kindle with these old eyes. Thanks for any help!
dburne Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 Thanks ! I found I thought a way to install Chrome but could not get it to install. I will just stick to the iPhone have spent too much time trying to get it already. Hopefully I will get to go home soon. Thanks ,
dburne Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 (edited) Thanks guys, they released me a bit ago and the wife just got me home. Whew, been in there since Sunday AM not fun. Abdominal issues, but looks like all will be ok - still taking antibiotics and strong pain meds, will be at home the rest of the week... Now I can see what I am doing on this screen This 27" monitor seems so huge now after having used the i-Phone for the last three days. Edited February 18, 2014 by dburnette 3

Thanks Jag, yes it would too bad early access not open at this time - though with the pain meds I am on currently, my flying might be pretty rough .
sallee Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Glad you are home dburnette. Hope all goes well. I am sending this from my Kindle Fire! If you tap in the reply box you should get the keyboard up..you should then be able to type in the box and with a bit of manoeuvring of the screen find the "post" button. This is using the Silk browser. I had some probs myself to start with. Having said which I hope you don't find yourself in a position where you have to use it from hospital again!
dburne Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 (edited) Wow, that is wild sallee, I never could get mine to work. Whenever I would click any time in the message box, the keyboard would never come up. Only time I could get was if I clicked on new post and the title box, never would in the message box... I would not mind getting it figured out, as I travel a lot and would be nice to use it to check here when I am on the road. Edit: Trying it here from home, still nothing - when I tap in the reply box, nothing happens - strange... Edited February 20, 2014 by dburnette
dburne Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 Weird! Is yours the Kindle Fire, or the Kindle Fire HD? Mine is the Kindle Fire. Not that should make any difference, just strange works for you and not for me - don't think I could be doing anything wrong...
sallee Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Just a Kindle Fire. Mystery to me...but then, so much is!
