T-34 custom Skin - has anyone tried yet?

I tried with some non-historic skin I made. Everything seems to work fine, skin is correctly listed under custom skins in the menu . . . but then only the inside of the tank seems to change, which is weird.

The skin is correct, because when I put it in the location of the default skin (graphics/vehicles/_t34-76stz/textures) it shows up in gameplay as the (new) official skin. So it can't be the skin itself that is the problem. DDS settings are correct, length of name is correct, skinfolder is correct (skins/_t34-76stz) . . .  I have no clue what the problem could be - and especially why the interior of the tank is changing (I can see the inside of the open hatch changing color in the winter version) instead of the exterior   :-o

 

I have hundreds of plane skins in my game all working fine, many from the community and also many I made myself and I the only problem I ever had were names that were too long.

 

Has anyone T-34 skins working in game who could give me a hint?

I checked again, this time with a path finder skin and yep, the skin shows up, but on the inside of the hatch (see screenshot) instead of the outside.

 

 

Seems to be a bug . . .

 

 

 

Would be nice if they could fix it . . . after all there were built about 50000 of them during WWII, compared to ~ 1500 Tigers    ;-)

I imagine these fixes will come when they re-do the T-34 mod. 42 (STZ) and Panzer III Ausf. L after tank crew release, like they said they would back in the original announcement.
