blitze Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Just noticing that in 150 degree FOV or 170 degree FOV in VR aircraft disapear, pop out of the view, well before the limits of the FOV given. I would assume this was a design for the earlier headsets to limit amount of things to render if they moved out of the 110 degree FOV of the headset. Now we have though, headsets with greater FOV, would it possible in graphics settings to have options to select FOV for aircraft rendering. It would make checking out six much easier and also formation flying. Loving the large FOV for landscape detail though. Seeing from wingtip to wingtip in VR is great.?
blitze Posted January 23, 2019 Author Posted January 23, 2019 Further to this, it seems only to occur on the Right Hand Side of the aircraft when flying. At between 4.30 O'Clock and 5.30 Oçlock when trying to use peripheral vision to check. The Left Hand Side seems to render the aircraft ok.
spitfirejoe Posted January 26, 2019 Posted January 26, 2019 Really? Sounds interesting, so you must have a PIMAX now. Strange that your own plane does disappear, I hope that can be fixed. I am still using my Oculus Rift or now most of the time the Odyssey Plus, but someday I will upgrade for a next gen HMD aswell and I hope that will be fixed soon. Does anybody know how about FOVeated rendering, will that be supported by IL-2 BOX with the new headsets which are coming and having the FOVeated rendering feature?
