Napping-Man Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 I'm having an issue with the controls. I've bound Fwd/Rev and Left/Right to the WASD keys, but they only intermittently seem to work. I'll tap the 'W' key and it'll go forward until I decide to turn...then it turns a bit but stops moving forward. I then have to try different movement keys until one of them starts to work again. The only key-bind conflicts are with aircraft functions...and I'm not about to re-do all my flying controls. Is there something more complicated about driving a tank that I don't know about? Like you can't turn and go forward at the same time? Or you have to bounce back and forth or left and right to get it to go again? Also the mouse is WAY to sensitive...anyone know which setting controls this? Oh, I'm running VR, too...so this also may be an issue. I don't have Tank Crew, but thought I'd try some ground action...if I can get it to work.
336th_Porkie- Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 check in aircraft controls, auto-pilot conflicts. if you're using WASD keys, every time you hit a you go to auto-pilot. change binding for auto-pilot to another key.
Napping-Man Posted January 22, 2019 Author Posted January 22, 2019 The Tanks have Autopilot? They really need separate these bindings out. But that would explain why it stops moving.

Hopefully upon release there will be two different control settings.
JGr2/J5_Baeumer Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 (edited) Welcome....You can easily separate them yourself by either going into your in game settings and assigning tank related commands to specific buttons of your choice in the second column or by installing and using a third party tool.like joy2key . This is all discussed in more detail in numerous other threads found via use of the forum search tool. Look for posts by Thad. Edited January 24, 2019 by J5_Baeumer
