Easiest program for video editing?

Hi All,

 

I am trying to make what I think is a very basic video to put into one of my missions showing an overhead view of an airfield, and then drawing curved flight paths/arrows on top on the airfield to show different approach options, similar to what Requiem is doing in this video with two planes flying and describing different paths on the background:

 

 

 

But I have never done any video editing before and would like advice on what the easiest way to do something like that is? Which program/software should I use and does anyone have any recommendations on how to achieve this affect, hopefully without having to buy an expensive program? I have an overhead video of the airfield already, but now I need to animate the little planes and flight paths on top of it. Any help from the more experienced video editors out there?

Why don't you ask Req directly? He'll at least give you an idea of what he uses. Just PM him.
