Graphic settings with "new" vid. card

Just got a new used video card, a GeForce 1070.

 

So now I'm asking what graphic settings works well with this card?

 

My all over specs are now:

CPU
Intel Core i5 4670K @ 3.40GHz
Motherboard
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Z87-K (SOCKET 1150)
RAM
8,00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz
Graphics
DELL U2412M (1920x1200@59Hz)
4095 MB GDDR 5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Founder Edition

Well, your video card should be pretty good enough to have some good performance. Compare my specs in footer (signature) and here are my settings

in the game:

 

 

Don't pay attention to the red highlighting - these are just to optimize spotting (for me).

 

The only real drawback I see here, is your RAM - might be a bottleneck - my RAM runs at 1600 MHz and I have 16 GB installed. My system is not super-duper, but

I can run the game stable with no stuttering at 60 FPS fixed on a resolution of 1920x1080.

799 MHz and 1600 MHz are just different ways to describe the same thing (bus clock vs data rate). Compared to a high-end dual-channel 2400 MHz configuration, the performance difference will be small. However, do pay attention to the memory usage. With only 8 GB, you could run low on memory if other processes use it.

The good news is that a 1070 will have no problem with the highest settings at 2560x1440 and below.

Yeah crank it to max and Send it..
even now after recent changes GTX1060 gets solid 60FPS on Ultra with 4K plane skins and Reshade SMAA

Graphics settings and what appeals to each individual is a very subjective thing.

I suggest just getting in there and making some changes and compare to come up with what you are happiest with for your use.

Thanks all, I'll give it a go and see what happens. And yes, I know the RAM is the bottleneck now. Before it was my GTX 660.

Everything on max, FPS between 80 and 100 :-D.
Before I had between 12 and 35.
