I regularly ask Jason and the devs to completely delete all but 2 aircraft for each side. I find it frustrating and extremely stressful with so many to choose from. Unfortunately my request has fallen on deaf ears to date. 3 2
kurtj Posted January 9, 2019 Posted January 9, 2019 (edited) If I could add the modifier “for what,” my list would be at least 5-10. But when picking just one, it’s the Spitfire for me. I’ve been impressed by how consistently my IL-2 and scale-RC spitfire experience aligns with historical accounts of its handling, tendencies, etc. Especially the “Lady in the air, b- - - - on the ground” bit. Diggun Posted January 9, 2019 Posted January 9, 2019 I do love the f4, but due to the usual online balance issues I play Red 99% of the time online. A20's for strike missions, Spit's for tea & medals. And the VB is an amazing instructor in the fine art of trigger control....

Bremspropeller Posted January 9, 2019 Posted January 9, 2019 (edited) Fw 190 by tradition. The A-20, Peshka and Ju 88 are duckton of fun, too. It's really hard to put a finger on it. There are many airplanes that are very interesting and enjoyable to fly. I was looking forward to flying the P-47 and I wasn't disappointed. At this point I'm looking forward to flying the Dora (naturally...), the P-51, the Tempest and the P-38. In that order, but not far in between. Edited January 9, 2019 by Bremspropeller

Dont ask me why, but I find it a so pleasant plane to fly and so rewarding too when I manage to shot down an enemy plane. Plus its armament its great

Some say, she is the best fighter in the game. I love her for being so smoothly to fly, just a dream... Especially in the "Fly-through-a-hangar!"-challenge. So, is the A-20 the most fun you can have with your pants on? Definitely close! Especially the rocket powered version, look! And if you´re not convinced yet, give this guy a try... Or that one. I love everything about it (except the tiny magazines for defensive guns the soviets used). I look forward to a potential flyable B25.

ATAG_kiwiflieger Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 Toss up between the Bf 110 and the Fw 190... I prefer the 110 in Cliffs because it's more competitive against RAF but still enjoy it very much in BoX for groundpounding. The 190 though has to be my favourite single-engine, for glorious speed and armament

You sacrifice a little bit of performance but if you're expecting to go against anything with two engines loading up with four 12.7mms makes you pretty deadly 1

I usually take a bit less fuel, and stronger guns.
