Greg Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) Hi gents, I very eager to get IL-2:BoS but I am in doubt wether my computer will run the game or not. I have; GTS 250 1GB Intel core 2 Quad core Q9550 @ 2,83GHz 4 thread (Going to buy aftermarket cooler and clock it up to 3.0GHz) 8GB DDR2 What are the odds? P.S. Yes I have looked up the min requirements for both RoF and BoS, and the minimum for BoS seems to be the recommended for RoF.. hmm. Edited February 16, 2014 by Greg 1
FuriousMeow Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) They can't publish official system requirements until the game is officially released. Until then, it's still fully in development which means between the time of this posting and the time of it "going gold" there will be a lot of changes and additions to all facets of the software which will change systems requirements several times. Now will your computer run it? Yes. At low settings, but it will run it. Edited February 16, 2014 by FuriousMeow

LLv44_Mprhead Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I think you should be prepared to upgrade your graphics card, it's on the low side and there is a possibility that it will give you issues. If you are on budget, maybe nvidia GTX 650 ti or radeon R7 260X. They should both be about 100£/120$.
kendo Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 (edited) Yes, I expect you will be able to run it, but as others have said probably low settings. I'm using a gtx260 (896MB) with an i5-2500K at 3.3Ghz and 8GB RAM with 'balanced settings' and it (usually) copes pretty good. Also, remember that the demands on your system will vary depending on the mission - Lapino map is lighter load than Stalingrad map, and there are single aircraft missions where you just take off, fly around and land, and dogfight missions with only 2 aircraft. So, yes you should be able to enjoy it, but may stuggle with full-on Stalingrad ground attack missions. (and yes, I intend to replace my vid card SOON...) Edited February 16, 2014 by kendo
Greg Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 I am planning to replace it with a HD 7850 in the nearby future.
FlatSpinMan Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 The game still looks good on Low settings. I suspect when/if we get a summer map that the views into the distance won't look so good, but as there's just snow and sky right now, less distinct distant areas aren't so noticeable. I'd love to play it on full settings of course.
Greg Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 wouldn't we all want to play on ultra settings Lets hope my cpu wont bottleneck that card. got a q9550
