Dagwoodyt Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 I could not get game to start up properly this am and figured a new game update might have been released. Sure enough there was a 125mb update which i downloaded. After some time my VR began to act up and I now cannot alter my position in cockpit. Further, I see no posts relative to the "update". What's up?

AndyJWest Posted January 5, 2019 Posted January 5, 2019 Sorry, I meant when did you last play before the update? The last update major was about a month ago, with a minor fix released on Dec 20th. If you are having trouble with VR, I'd check first that the game works without it. If it is a VR-specific issue you'll probably need to provide more information on what you are using.

Trying to understand where the "update" came from and how to repair my install.

Been playing daily since last update. In any case been able to resolve issue for now. During visit to WMR Cliff House I was prompted to do head movements and noticed HMD had started accurately tracking again. Previously in-game my position had frozen in cockpit so that the cockpit moved with me. Seems like after visit to Cliff House Il2 could again enable full 6DOF. Jump into that state is obvious when it happens during game start up so that I can move forward or backward from the menu screens. I did Cliff House visit for Odyssey and Odyssey+. Once again, Odyssey+ seems like a poor choice if you have to choose between the two. Thankfully, I did not need to do any software uninstall/reinstall process.
