I would not have expected the cessna to benefit too much from ground effect because of the high wing.

I find it modelled in IL.2. Can't say if it's absolutely realistic, but it's there and I can even notice the slight speed increase when flying low at high speeds over more or less flat terrain, at constant power...

Very subtle modelling if any.

When on ground effect the higher the speed the more the plane wants to pitch up.

To fly low and fast on ground effect you will need to push the stick down or else the plane will climb.

It does not happen in Il2
