bzc3lk Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 Are you landing with full flaps? The last flap percentage I seen was only 57% on the information window and looking at your aircraft after landing also shows that full flap deployment was not used.

It is generally true for all aircraft that once you are in the circuit on reduced throttle then you put the RPM up to 100% or near enough. It gives you more fine control over your speed so you can slow down quicker and accelerate quicker. Continuous power on the I16 is at about 93% so you may as well leave it there and use throttle to control your approach.

Maybe they can't use the radio any more than I can! (Although I love how I call out that I am "Attacking enemy fighter to the east at 2 km!" ( oh am I? I guess I am!))

Rick_Rawlings Posted March 26, 2019 Author Posted March 26, 2019 (edited) Got a mission complete signal and was staring to head back to base but in my inattention, I went NE instead of NW. Once I had spotted my error, I swung around and spotted flak puffs where we had just been! Going to investigate, I found a couple of bombers! They clearly weren't expecting me as they put up basically no fight. Hanging around the A/O for that long meant that I made it back to base on fumes, unfortunately, and rushed the landing...
