Voyager Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 Learning the P-47 in the Quick Mission builder, and I'm running into a bit of an issue with the Gyro sight. I've got convergence set to 250 yards, and know that I should have the wing span set to ~30ft for the majority of aircraft I'm going to be shooting at. Problem is, in air start quick missions, it starts by default, at a 100ft wing span and a 500ft range. Given the heardon setting seem to have very little time to reset, and this is a setting that I'd normally set on the ground and not touch in flight, it would be nice to find a way to set this, and other aircraft control settings to defaults different from the game spans you in at. Does anyone know if there is a way to do this? Thank you, Harry Voyager
-TBC-AeroAce Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Yeah it would be nice if it saved the previous used settings especially if one is using an air spawn. I bet it is a pain if on a duel sever. On a side note there is a bug I get ever 10-20 spawns were is does remember the settings from the last sortie, so maybe it would not be hard to implement.
Sparky_IBEW_353 Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Agreed. I have the same issue with the spit when flying on Berloga. By the time I have the sight dialed in, I've already got a vulcher clinging to my tail. There are lots of little "quality" of life things like this that I wish could be implemented. Default convergences for different aircraft would also be nice. Different realism settings depending on what kind of flight you're doing might also be nice. I'll often turn on unlimited ammo for some gunnery practice in a quick mission, and then forget to turn it off for in campaign mode 1
Lusekofte Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 First time you take on a module in DCS you have to set the controls. A tidious and time consuming task. But it give opportunity to set a perfect setup for every plane. Clod have even a better setup. You save them and use it on planes you want. If the sight tweaked also go into a system like that you would not have to use a general setup for totally different. Types
