Herne Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 Sorry for the bad quality, it was taken using the phone camera using the software zoom. We were actually quite far away, 15 to 20 meters from the nearest wing tip, but if you turn the volume up, there is no mistaking her scream. 1 2
Guest deleted@50488 Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 (edited) Congratulations - assume it's your daughter - !!! It's great to be able to transmit our dreams to the descendants ... something that never really worked with me tough ? at least in as far as passion for Aviation goes... BTW: The AS-K21 is one of my preferred 2-seaters! and a Great School glider, unless you're willing to show students how to enter and recover from a spin ? Edited December 27, 2018 by jcomm
ZachariasX Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 That‘s great! I did my first as a kid in a Spyr V, also on a winch. Was Awesome enough to start getting my license as soon as I could, at 16. Congrats!
Herne Posted December 27, 2018 Author Posted December 27, 2018 Yes, I learned in a grob 103, while in the air cadets, continued flying after I joined the army, and was lucky enough to represent the army in inter service gliding competitions. have some very fond memories of that time. It's a very social sport though, and I find it hard these days to make the time. Also VR + Il2 + Enemies going down in flames, is every bit as much fun
unreasonable Posted December 27, 2018 Posted December 27, 2018 Mine was in some high wing, side by side seat arrangement that looked like a tissue box with wings. Cannot remember what they were called now - it was in 1970. In my case, the screaming was from the instructor.
