photog95661 Posted December 26, 2018 Posted December 26, 2018 I have a problem with manual throttle control while flying the A-20. Basically, the sim does not respond to manual throttle input at the start of a mission in a scripted campaign or a quick mission. I have tested throttle control in the simulation's Quick Mission section. There are seven multi-engine aircraft in the section (not counting differing variations). There is even one aircraft which contains three engines; the Ju52. In each test, I started with the aircraft parked and needing to taxi to the runway. With the exception of the A-20, all aircraft responded precisely to manual throttle input after starting the engines. I was able to observe and hear engine RPM changes. The simulation also displayed throttle percentages on the right side of the screen. I was also able to taxi and take-off in each aircraft. I needed to engage the autopilot to taxi and take-off in the A-20. While in flight, I was not able achieve discrete throttle control, but the engine's settings would remain where I turned the auto pilot off. In a scripted campaign, I could obtain throttle control only in the presence of an adversary whether in the air or on the ground (after taking off and cruising in autopilot). Aircraft speed would change, engine RPM would change and there was a corresponding change in engine sound. Also, the manual throttle control remains active until the mission is complete. I have checked and re-saved all appropriate control settings. I am using a ThrustMaster T-Flight HOTAS. Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
photog95661 Posted December 28, 2018 Author Posted December 28, 2018 Based on advice from -IRRE-Therion I modified my "Realism" settings by deselecting engine management aides. I now have throttle control. Kudos for his assistance.
