You guys keep impressing me. I simply can't get my hands down for every update you make. The new IL-2 is a amazing ride and it is so much fun making havoc on the roads of Stalingrad. The Il-2 is my new love in the game.

Never before have I experienced such a immersive flight simulator.  And I am turning 40 next month and have been playing flight sims since the first C64 computer. I can't say it enough you have made the ground handling so believable. In my opinion this game is going to change the standard for coming flight sims.  Very Very Very impressive!!!

I will go back to my IL2 and enjoy the game. I have been in desperate need of my daily BOS fix since Monday. Good to have it back.

I need to second DeafBees comments.  I am 40 and have also been playing simulators since the C64.  I'm getting the same wow feeling as when I first flew F-19 by Microprose in I dont know what year.  Janes WWII Fighters and of course when I first tried the Demo for the original IL-2.

You guys are really putting together a great game - cant wait to see this title mature and buy as much DLC as you can put out.

+1 on the IL-2, love the feeling of extra mass, she feels every bit like a flying dump truck.

I take back everything I said about the wimpy flak last week; first flight ducking and a weaving in the IL-2 then blam no wing then saw the stream of tracer from the flak position I'd over flown. Not healthy.

Bombs and especially the twin 37mms feel perfect, those babies eat flak for breakfast.

The only problem I've found is being able to retract my undercarriage, then extend it on the IL-2 on the ground - looks hilarious.

Excellent, excellent work guys, this is just getting more jaw dropping by the week....^^

It has made my Valentines Day, especially after a girl I had been dating for awhile told me today she was too busy with work to pursue a relationship. Make war, not love :salute:

BOS is really getting better and better now.

Was sceptical back couple of updates, but latest one is just great.

Good improvments everywhere:

- Spotting planes isn't an issue anymore.

- Tire sounds on ground is trully great and adds much more immersion!

- Radio voices are clear now.

- Damage model is really becoming interesting.

- Planes flight model adjustments are better now.

- Global FPS over Stalingrad is nicely improved!

- Very nice IL2 plane

But still some room for improvment:

- AA deadly accuracy

- Spotting ground objects

Thanks Graygoose. You fly a lot in 2-seaters in Rise Of Flight so the IL-2 must be a plane that you like to fly. I personally want to concentrate more on ground attacks In BOS, so I will be flying a lot in bombers too.

The Magic I once felt playing Olegs's Original IL2 some 13 yrs ago has been recaptured with this Magnificent Work..........and it's Only Alpha  Great Job 777.

I couldn`t have said better!

Thank you for this magnificent build.

I just played the airfield attack mission, and wow...i`m still shaking. I love the deadliness of the AAA, the new explosions (although the fires in Stalingrad look REAL big) and specially the IL2..what a beast!

And all of this at only 39%?! I sense another family crisis coming along when this one hits gold :o:

Great job, Team!

Been playing flightsims since c64 days too and also just passed 40 (seems to be the magic number for this audience)
The Airwarrior series is one that no one have mentioned, I played AWIII with MFFB1-joystick. really immersive!
janes WWII figters were nice for it's time.. But original IL2 changed the playingfield alltogether
Hated CLOD (since my computer couldn't handle it at all) and it actually lacked everything that made it's predecessor great!
Love IL2:BoS.. Hope we have 10+ years with this one too ;)

I Just turned 50.  Ive also been playing since the C64 days and have fond memories of the great flight sims from years ago. Except for ROF (which I love) most of the recent sims have let me down. This one is great and recaptures the magic of the flight sims from the 90's. I knew 777 and 1C would not let us down. The IL2 is a blast! Looking forward to the JU87.

Stuka? Pah! It's the Peshka I'm really looking forward to. I want it, and I want it now...  :P

Seriously, it's all coming along nicely, and judging by the devs video streams, they seem confident enough of delivering the remaining content on time. And they seem to still be enjoying themselves, even with the inevitable pressure, which has to be a good sign too. So thanks for the work so far, and thanks in advance for what looks like becoming a classic air combat simulator, a worthy successor to Oleg's original, and a fitting memorial to the Sturmovik itself.

Speaking of which, some useful advice from a Soviet IL-2 training film:

Words of wisdom.    Time to update my low flying skills...

Seconded or thirded or whatever we are up to now.

Absolutely brilliant.  Everything from the models to the feeling of speed as you low level it through stalingrad.  I love this game now.  I can only imagine, as I am still playing IL-2 1946, that I will be enjoying BOS for many many years to come.

Stuka is really good news  :) Have a question - when will unlimited access?

It had better not be 7 years, I am 57, not sure if I can take the G force of the pull out in my sixties!

I have no doubt that BoS will be a terrific game and a commercial success.  Which will allow 777 to generate enough time and money to make further expansions as well as finish their maddeningly incomplete masterpiece RoF, (with it's excellent graphics options set-up ;) ).

BoS is a great flight SIM...and it' s in development....i think when it will be released all coplete, it willrealize all dreams....

Great job ...

Only 2 weeks out? Dang, it's really picking up speed.

Propably the plane I'll fly the least, but it's still gonna be fun to try, and from what we've seen of it so far, the Stuka looks to be posibly the most beautifully realised plane ever seen in a flight sim.

Posted

We shall see. my vote for the Eastern front for said beautifully realised plane would have to go to a Bf 110 of any flavour, but preferrably

A fighter/bomber for ground support (c7?)

Yes I know it was outdated, but by 1942 so was the stuka, but I just love twin engine fighters so it gets my vote.

I didn't mean that the Stuka is beautiful (I personally think it looks rather ungainly - if iconic) but the 3d model, texture and wonderfully detailed cockpit looks to be the best done so far by the team.

I can't wait to hear another 6 or so 109's fire up those engines next to me and takeoff together.  Really great job on everything!

Heavens, Zak, u do realize that if you deliver on time that joke might be threatened? :o:

Now as much as i want the Stuka....i`d hate to see that one turn invalid!
