spit v was bought from steam but not running.  I get a message that the data has been modified when I try to fly it.  Where do I get my product key from steam Its not listed in the purchassed items in the IL@ Stalingrad web site.  Thanks in advance for your help.

so now I figured out that I need to link my accounts between IL2 Stalingrad and Steam every time I want to fly the aircraft.  Is this the only way?  Can Steam confirm proof of purchase with IL2?  Thanks again in advance.

As I understand it... you should have a linked Steam account and that you need only do it once.

Shamrock,  Thank you for responding.  I have tried three times to link accounts and then each time run the plane.  When I run off line again it still goes back to the same error.  I sent  a ticket to support but it is the holidays and all.  Merry Christmas

Steam says that the content is blocked by the IL2 BoS website.  I can play logged into Steam but really dont want to use those resources every time.  Any ideas?

Yes: get over Steamophobia, it really is silly.  Steam uses a tiny amount of resources. You do not even have to have the main Steam window open when you run Steam games from their own .exe shortcuts.

 

While it is regrettable that IC/777 cannot sort out their Steam integration to eliminate this particular issue, the fact is there is absolutely nothing to prevent you from using the Spitfire.

If being online with Steam is unacceptable, buy everything through the store page and use the official launcher.

Can I reinstall the base game?   Will that allow me to use what I paid Steam for .  Thanks

Can you make a Steam refund and then buy the plane directly from Il2? Not sure how Steam refund works with DLC
