SCG_Space_Ghost Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Do you really think that a brand-new pilot would be allowed by his CO to remove a piece of armor from his plane that was meant for his protection? Do you really think that making things far more literal than they were obviously meant somehow validates your reasoning on the subject? I think it's fairly well obvious that that was meant sarcastically - now go away, troll.
FuriousMeow Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 (edited) Stating something sarcastically in an attempt to somehow prove a point without fact is more of a "troll"-ish behavior than responding with a logically sound answer. Using the "troll" retort invalidates any point attempted to be made as it shows a fundamental lack of mental maturity. Edited February 21, 2014 by FuriousMeow 1

Cybermat47 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Oh, you have much to learn... What do I have to learn, exactly? Instead of just saying that I have a lot to learn, perhaps you could just tell me?

It was a shorthand way of saying that the military has its own ways about how it conducts its affairs, and unless you've been in the military it's hard to understand that culture. My whole point was that a pilot fresh out of training would be very, very unlikely to be able to start making any old changes to his aircraft that he saw fit.

Well, you do have military service under your belt, so you probably know more than me
Rama Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 now go away, troll. This kind of name calling isn't allowed on these forums. First and last warning. 2
Nil Posted March 17, 2014 Author Posted March 17, 2014 Well I have to admit I'm mostly looking forward to the FW 190A3 the most right now, I'm not a super BnZ'er, but the 190 series is SO sexy and brutal! And since this thread cointains a quouted =FB=Loft promise that all planes will be available, unlocked, I have full hope for them to stay unlocked! (and I hope they don't remove the outer FF cannons, that was standard equipment, removed only if ordered to remove them!)I just don't understand the need to lock up planes in coming addons.. just.. why? It's a simulation, not an arcade-grinder.

Maybe his CO and the cadre in his new permanent party think the armor plates(or anything else) are a stupid, cumbersome liability thrust on them like so many other troops throughout history and that he'd rather take the risk of an NJP or worse to do what he thinks is right for his boys. Maybe his crew chief spends most of his time stripping unneeded or unwanted components off the replacement aircraft that get brought in, like so many chiefs before and after him. Maybe they don't keep their hair reg either! Just because the young man wants to be able to make the call that a virtual CO isn't there to make for him isn't unreasonable, and certainly not worthy of any condescension(civvie or no). II./JG27_Rich Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 I always liked F4s more than G2s in IL-2 1946. A little slower but you could dogfight with almost anything if you did it the right way.
