Hello

I have Ch throttle and it is extremely jittery and its ministick is about to die. I play DCS and sometimes IL2

I am considering getting a new throttle. Warthog looks very good but it is too expensive and i am not sure if it is worth that much money. It should last at least 5 years due to its high price. Other thing is, it is designed for A-10, which i don't like. I like its switches but i prefer momentary instead 2-3 position.

For TWCS side, i read some reviews and looks like it has a serious stiction problems. I want precise movements for helicopter riding and plane refuel and carrier landings. Second consern is that it doesn't look like robust. I don't want another jittery ministick and throttle axis. But damn..it is way too cheaper than warthog

Are there any twcs users? i need some opinions and some encouragement.

Should i go for warthog or catch a twcs?

Thanks

More expensive, but VPC throttle is more "universal" - 4 extra axes, rotaries, encoders... than Warthog A-10 throttle.

TWCS will don't last longer than CH, since use low cost potentiometers. One the few good things about CH is the quality of pot's.

An option, repair CH by replace throttle pot, contact CH for replacement, cost around $10, and is "fit and play", just need use an screwdriver an pliers.

Mini-stick they don't sell for you because replace require use solder and you can burn your finger or damage nail polish and sue then (american market thing). :)

But you can buy one from Digikey, Mouser, eBay, Aliexpress.

Beware, Warthog throttle "slew" (mini-stick) is worse than CH or TWCS mini-stick, people use this replacement:

Love my TWCS and would not want anything else at the moment.  But, I fly mostly IL-2 Great Battles and sometimes a little DCS, WWII aircraft and Mig-15 only.  I don't use ministack and don't find throttle stiction a problem at all.  However, if you fly a lot of modern fast jet types with systems to operate you probably want something more expensive than the TWCS.  Something with more buttons and options.  You cold check out the second hand market for a high end throttle and pick up a bargain.

Good luck.

Happy landings,

actually twcs has almost same amount of buttons with my old ch throttle. so it is ok in terms of buttons.

but i really really hate stiction (i demolished an x-52 stick because of this)
