I got on the server tonight after updating to today's latest version and all I could do is Spectate. I don't know cat squat about multiplayer; was I unable to do anything because I'm on a version later than the server? Or something?

No mods. I'll give it another try....

 

...It takes forever to load, but I was able to get in. Not a very smooth server from my location.

whats your ping and internet speed, its a heavey map takes long to load

I tried the JG1 server and it was great for FPS and smoothness. It showed a ping of about 48 in contrast to JG5, which was listed at 250+. But, I can't really do multiplayer anyway. I have no idea which planes are on which side. They all look the same to me. So I fly around and wait to get shot at and then I have some idea who I should be fighting. By that time it's often too late. I obviously don't belong here yet. So it's back to SP for me.

don't lose heart we can help you, this game only comes into its own when playing multiplayer.

Glad to hear the JG1 server is performing well! We actually intend to host a Flying Circus dogfight multiplayer session coming up soon! I'll let you know the date and time later this week.

Thank you very much for server, it is great, we played on it all day except for me, I was just sitting on voice coms but listening and chatting.

on the discord channel, the owner has kindly made two flying circus chat rooms one for FC chat and one for FC events, your welcome to join we had 4 players online in voice comms all day, the group is small and friendly and welcomes all who want to join, and have fun. we have about 8 players now that fly regularly, normaly once or twice a day. all FC, if you don't want to join , no worries, if you want to send me an advert for events, ill repost them in the discord upcoming FC events chat room. here https://discord.gg/2KdhQex

Yup, just checked JG1 server and it has a nice ping for me, just like what I get in ROF. I'm certainly flying there for sure from now on.

Haha, I'd love to take credit for our server, but that goes to JG1_Butzzell and JG1_Snaggle for the stats.

 

I'll test things out tomorrow night, and if it all goes well, we'll announce the date for our upcoming flight session. During the upcoming event, I'll probably be on Teamspeak with the rest of my squad, but I might drop by the Discord server during the event too! I'll also livestream it on Twitch. Should be fun! ?

It takes time, Muffhugger, and a lot of practice.

 

I'm at best a mediocre pilot and an abysmal shot, and my reactions and eyesight are on a par with a myopic sloth on Mogadon, but that doesn't matter.

 

Just stick at it!
