I just finished it tonight!  The last mission was great!  I like how it tied back to Ten Days with the 'borrowed' 109, and how the day was special for the pilot.  I also pulled an Ace in a Day on that mission!  Very satisfying finish!  I ended the campaign with 42 kills.  (I'll be finishing up Ten Days in just a couple days, that is another great story!  And since it's the Same Pilot, I'll combine the two kill counts for him.)

No, sorry. But I plan to add tactical numbers for all planes when they are ready.

In Mission 11, in-game instructions are in russian. I play with german localization.

Yes, you are right, it will be fixed in the next update. Thanks! It's amazing that no one noticed this in 4 years ...

Of the important in the subtitles, two commands are given:

After takeoff: Wegpunkt passiert. Beschützen Sie die Ju 87.

On the return route after completing the task: Geleitschutzmission absolviert. Sie können zu Wegpunkt 6 weiterfliegen.

While I've owned this campaign for 2 or 3 years, I never found time to play through it until recently - and when I saw some of the news posted above, I decided to wait until those improvements were complete before I played another scripted campaign.  So, I played through it during April & finished ~10 days ago.  My not-too-impressive score is FULLY due to the recent updates and has nothing whatsoever to do with me being a mediocre 109 pilot. ;)

While I can't compare the "before & after" for those latest changes, I wanted to drop in here & just say what a total blast this was.  As others mentioned above, the story & script are excellent and very immersive.  You can really feel the palpable dread of our pilot from the very start, as he returns to the steppe after the well deserved & much needed home leave, and as his mindset keeps dropping toward depression under the weight of the new & daunting task from his C.O.  Black Six and any others who helped with the writing did a fabulous job here.  The mood and degrading mental state of a highly stressed, battle-worn veteran really come through as the missions progress.  Beyond just immersing me in the missions, this campaign caused me to really think once again about what these young men from each country went through.

The missions themselves were realistic, challenging and varried.  I think my favorite was "Being Late is Unacceptable," which added another, extra & highly realistic element of stress from the start.  This situation 'took me back' to scenes in my own past, where under similar circumstances "the plan" was fouled up right from the word "go" raising stress factors by an order of magnitude right off the bat.  I'm confident any other military vets out there will know just what I mean when they play through this mission.  (It didn't hurt that this one also resulted in one of the 3 best dogfights I had during the campaign!)  Another thing I loved about the missions was sometimes having multiple flights from "our" squadron launch out to different but coordinated assignments.  For example I thought "Spring a Trap" was especially well written & designed, and I liked that an Italian flight from a base to the west was also pulled into the effort.  I'm sure playtesting this wasn't easy!

As with the more recently-made campaigns that I've played through, the airfield activity and 'ambiance' were also really good in this one.  The addition of tactical numbering on the planes is also a big plus.  It was far easier to look at the recording of a flight and figure out what happened to other flight members, to tell which opposing planes were flight and element leaders, etc.  In conclusion I just wanted to write & say:  Great job with everything, Black 6!  We greatly appreciate all the 'love' you and others put into these campaigns.  I'm looking forward to playing through more of them soon!

Thank you very much for such a great review!

I don't leave the idea to continue this story and now show the main character in the difficult autumn of 1943 in the Kuban and Crimea.

After a year I played again this campaign. Improved my score and this time managed to survive all 15 missions in row. :dance:Everything worked fine, sometimes I had to encourage my flight to fight with order "Patrol for air enemy", but thats all. Without markers and technochat is immersion top notch with many intense moments. :good:
