Multiplayer Capturable Airfields

I'm new to online IL2 BOx play and see on some of the servers where an airfield is listed as capturable, but I can't find a guide anywhere that tells me what needs to be done to capture it?  please help.  Thanks.

It's going to be very individual to the server. So if you were on the Dedicated Normal server usually what's required is someone in a tank to reach the field and capture it by presence. I believe its a radius trigger around the field that does it but I'm not sure exactly how it goes.

 

There are two tanks that are freely available to anyone who owns any version of the IL-2: Great Battles Series so you'd need to hop into one to capture. Or support someone else who was capturing them for you from the air... or eliminate enemy tanks to prevent them from capturing in turn.

 On Virtualpilots´ server the field capture is achieved after a certain amount of structures are destroyed and AAA is down. Then it goes to CLOSED condition and can be captured by paratroopers. Of course this requires the tank battle to be won first. So a bit different than just rolling a tank into the field, which works too of course, depending on server settings.

thanks for the help so far.  Where do you get the information for the individual servers? Are paratroopers an option like loading bombs etc for certain aircraft?

For the unprofessionals the capturable airfields can be captured by either landing 36 paratroops or landing 6 planes on it successfully (landed without plane being destroyed and the mission finished).
