Unwanted “centering “ of main gun on the Tiger while using ‘Zoom” feature for 88 sight.

Hard to explain but I’ll try.As gunner on the Tiger I use a keystroke to ‘nestle’ up to the gun, and center the target. So far so good ,BUT the first time I hit the” telescopic’ or zoom key stroke to get a closer view of the centered target, the site & the barrel move up to a neutral position away from the target.A bad thing. In order to move the sites to the target again I hit the same keystroke and then I can re-center the sites on my chosen target. All this takes a frustratingly long time. I can’t figure out why this is happenening unless somehow the keystroke I am using to zoom the view to the target is delegated to another command as well...a command I don’t know or how it might be described in “Settings”.Can someone help?

Thanks!

I'm not going to be much help because I use the mouse scroll wheel exclusively for zoom (it's a natural fit when using the mouse to aim).  I noticed in the game the zoom is defaulted to the keypad + and - keys (as well as the mouse scroll wheel) while the centered gun position is keypad 5.  I didn't see any conflicts otherwise ... at least in my largely default key assignments.

Hi,

check your key mapping - is it possible that you have some double assignment? Because "centering gun" means to align your gun with your

tank (driving direction) or align it to the 12 o'clock position if you prefer.

Cheerio

This is very possible.I don't have the game up at present so, as mentioned above is the key command :"Center gun"  I just did a quick look & the closest i could come to this command was 'Reset Gunsight' in Tank controls.
