P-38 Lightning Manual

I thought I would post this with the upcoming Release of the P-38 100 pages of information, Old USAAF Training Manual..

I spent some time assigned to the 474th TFW 12AF, 428th, 429th,  & 430th TFS. They were one of the very few and maybe the only group who flew P-38's the entirety of the War in the ETO. They were very instrumental in pinning down the Germans after D Day in the Battle of Falaise Gap France.  They were awarded a several unit citations for there actions. Another Favorite aircraft and one with a storied history, Guys Like Ira Bong and Tommy McGuire tore up the Pacific in the Lightning. I hope all who download the manual finds it as good of a read as I have..

Though I know this is a very late posting but I wanted to toss my hat in the ring in saying “thanks” also. Now with the release I always find it astounding the work that has gone into each individual aircraft and can actually be compared to the real life instruction manuals they are indeed that close to reality. Wow.
