Dutch2 Posted December 16, 2018 Posted December 16, 2018 (edited) Maybe I’m doing something very stupid, but what is wrong when I do not get a mouse pionter in my WMR screen, while my ps/2 keyboard still working. I did try the win&y key and using the cntrl key, but it does not work. Edit, the whole problem was I did use the resolution as can be found by an VR topic by sneaksie Setting the resolution in game settings to a low setting like 1024x768 or even less may significantly improve your performance in VR (VR resolution is fixed and won't change, but the game will spend less time drawing its window on the monitor). Lowering the resulution to that will make your mouse have problems, in moving or is complete gone. Go one stage higher in resolution if you think it would bring you more FPS, which btw in my case is not. Using 2560/1440 or 1024/768 did not show up as a higher FPS. Unlike Sneaksy I do have fpsVR to monitor that. Edited February 21, 2019 by Dutch2
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Multiple languages on the keyboard? Some keyboards flip y and z keys. Check wether the foam blocks the proximity sensor in the headset. Make sure it does not trigger it. Disconnect headset, restart computer. Reconnect headset. WMR software will start automatically. Put headset on, let it recognize your room. Why this simple "restart Computer" solution? Sometimes it spazzes out right after start because the proximity sensor was triggered during the startup. This solution usually solves it for me.
Dutch2 Posted December 17, 2018 Author Posted December 17, 2018 Thanks for the reply. My Windows 10pro, is the UK version, while the keyboard the US international. One thing is also very strange, I have to pull out the headset USB before starting the PC, otherwise it does not generate a signal to my monitor.
Aloha-Snackbar Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 Sometimes happens for me too, usually closing the game, steamvr, and the windows MR portal, then starting them up in reverse order fixes it.
Muff_Huggar Posted December 18, 2018 Posted December 18, 2018 Sometimes, I have to flip my headset up, move the mouse cursor to the IL-2 window and click there to get the mouse focus on the game window. Many times, focus is on the mixed reality portal window instead.
