=gRiJ=Roman- Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 I am having problems with the temperature of my PC and I had a couple of automatic switch-offs with a burning smell I have cleaned my pc inside the box and added a 3rd fan. Now I´d like to monitor the temperatures and fans. What free software do you recommend me? Thanks in advance
Soarfeat Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 I use " Core Temp " Core Temp This shows some installation hints if needed. Also, this problem could be coming from something other than cooling, such as a bad power supply or bad motherboard. I would check your motherboard for swollen capacitors and also check your power supply. Good luck with this !! 1
Skywarp Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Download MSI AFTERBURNER at the end of the page. It can monitor in real time your GPU and CPU temperature, usage of RAM and VRAM, FPS and other stuff. https://www.msi.com/page/afterburner 1
Remontti Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 You should really check where that burning smell came from. I also think you have a problem with component failure and not with cooling.
dburne Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 I use AIDA64 Extreme to monitor all my temps, however it is payware. As Remontti suggested though, burning smell and PC is not a good thing, really need to investigate that thoroughly.
=gRiJ=Roman- Posted January 7, 2019 Author Posted January 7, 2019 I opened the PC and cleaned it as best as I could. Then, I installed a third fan, on the top this time. It seems to have solved the problem. Let's cross our fingers.
ALA13_Yren Posted January 8, 2019 Posted January 8, 2019 You have rainmeter + Hwinfo64 by free, with little effort it can show all your data in desktop. Be free to contact me about this stuff... you know my phone. 1
