SShrike Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 The release notes for 3.008 mentioned ffb and trackir tuning, and I would like to experiment with a bit of a stutter issue related to trackir and want to know I am adding viable lines. "Users who encountered stutters using Microsoft Force Feedback joysticks and TrackIR now have an option to tune FFB effect polling frequency using the additional setting in startup.cfg file" Could a Dev. Please clafify the procedure to adjust frequency for TrackIR? It seems all mention is regarding FFB and not specific to TrackIR. Thanks.
Kandiru Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 (edited) My flying experience improved vastly since the last TIR update. Now I can look up, gone are the stutters that ruined spatial localization of the opponent. Frame rate never below 110 with the Alienware beast. Edited December 8, 2018 by Kandiru
kestrel79 Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 Is there anything we have to do to fix this for TrackIR? Or is it automatically on in the latest patch?
jokerBR Posted December 21, 2018 Posted December 21, 2018 Seems to me that the adjustments are applicable to the FFB polling interval for Thrustmaster, which in turn will result in better experience with TrackIR. So, if you don't have TM FFB joysticks, this change will not affect you. It's not something that you apply directly to TrackIR. Cheers.
Hoss Posted December 22, 2018 Posted December 22, 2018 But if you do not have a FFB joystick you should set it to 0. (turn FFB off).
