Paint Skin Viewer

Does anyone know the magic key and/or mouse button combo to change the rotation point in the BoS skin viewer app? I can't seem to get it anywhere near the plane and it's driving me crazy! Thanks.

Hold down the right mouse button and push or drag the mouse back and forth.

If the cursor is centered within the object then pulling the mouse towards you will "push" the object away from your POV and the cursor. Conversely, pushing the mouse away from you "pulls" the object towards your POV and in front of the cursor.

Thanks, but I'm not having trouble zooming in and out, it's when I try to spin the plane/model. The rotation point is so far from the plane and it's difficult to keep it in view when I rotate it. There must be a way to set it. I'd always prefer it to be where the pilot is unless I'm focusing on a specific part of the aircraft. S!

Doesn't it go back to a centered view when you click the Default View button?

As a side question, why do NMF skins look better in the viewer than in game? Is it because the viewer supports ambient lighting where the sim doesn't? They look good in the game now but the viewer really captures the aluminum effect perfectly I think.

Ok, that does help, thanks. The problem is that when I "zoom in" I'm actually pulling the plane closer to me and away from my rotation point, which is pretty frustrating. There must be a way of setting the rotation point on a feature of the plane after zooming in. S!

edit: zooming using the toolbar buttons keeps the rotation point intact. So that's an improvement. I still would like to be able to select a different point to rotate about, however.
