SOLIDKREATE Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 I am the only one on my server and I get this annoying message every 5 seconds. It says "Multiplayer server overload. Erratic Plane Behavior may Occur". I am the ONLY one testing my server and it didn't do this at all the entire week. I added two sirens and then this happens. It can't be my objects because I have been on servers with way, way more stuff than I have. I only have two spawn fields a train yard industrial target, an airfield and one moving train target and that is it. My settings. What should my UP and DOWN limits be?
CountZero Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 i guess you should use 50mb for download and 10mb for upload, is upload of 10mb even enought for hosting server in this game i dont know, looks small when i read that post from Han in last DD: To game servers hosters - please check that in your SDS config file the correct traffic limit is set. At least 50 magebites if you have around 30 clients limit, and at least 150 megabytes if you have maxed up client number limit. So it means: DownloadLimit = 50000 or more UploadLimit = 50000 or more 1

Alonzo Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 It's very unlikely to be a bandwidth thing if it's just you on the server. When you run dserver, what does it tell you for "tick time" ? It's in milliseconds on the left-hand panel for dserver. Also check how much CPU dserver is using. I ran a test server with 18 people on it and it was only using 30% CPU or so.
DeadMeat0383 Posted December 2, 2018 Posted December 2, 2018 If you are getting that message it is telling you that there is something in your mission that is using up too much cpu time. Check your mission for errors, vehicles spawning on top of each other, or potentially just too many AI units. As a side note ive found that each user uses roughly 80-100kb/s of bandwidth on my server, which means that 150mbit upload is way over what is required (at least for my server) so im not quite sure why Han suggests that much bandwidth is required... 1
Hirachi Posted December 2, 2018 Posted December 2, 2018 I try joining your server last but it wouldn't work try about 4 times
SOLIDKREATE Posted December 3, 2018 Author Posted December 3, 2018 (edited) Yeah It didn't work for me either or my squad. I think I found the issue. I accidentally deleted a few towns and airfields that I needed and I had re-imported them several times thinking it would only bring in the missing ones. So basically it had 6 times the amount of towns and airfield all stacked on each other. It is all good now. I'm just adding targets. Plus it said I could only have 10 Complex triggers per map. I had 100 it said but I only counted 12? Anyway we'll try again this weekend. Edited December 3, 2018 by 392FS_SPEKTRE76
