reddog=11blueleader* Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 (edited) I am getting better at landing the LaGG however, I would like to here from some of you pilots how you land the LaGG. Speed, main gear first vs three point landing, flap settings if any. Any advice you can give me. Thanks Edited February 11, 2014 by reddog=11blueleader*
Finkeren Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I never three point it. To me the most important thing is approaching at a shallow enough angle. This I find is best achieved at a speed of 210km/h. Touchdown is usually at 190 km/h. Once you get your speed down throttle up to around 20% to maintain rudder authority so you can counter any tendency to ground loop. It's still rare for me to make a flawless landing without any bouncing, but it's even rarer for me to break anything on landing.
Requiem Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Here is a landing example with the LaGG, It has a basic checklist which you may find handy. To skip to landing go to about 9 seconds and just click on "landing" in the contents and you will be taken to that portion. Cheers! 3
