CzechTexan Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 I am new to Great Battles so I figured I should update the Driver for my AMD RADEON HD 7750 pci-e. I now have the RADEON ADRENALIN 18.11.2 driver. On-board Intel graphics are disabled. Radeon Software Version - 18.11.2 Radeon Software Edition - Adrenalin Graphics Chipset - AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series Memory Size - 1024 MB Memory Type - GDDR5 Core Clock - 800 MHz Windows Version - Windows 7 (Service Pack 1) (64 bit) System Memory - 6 GB CPU Type - Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz I'd like to increase frame rates which are unusually low. I suspect it may be the 60hz screen I'm using. If anyone has suggestions to improve or have similar specs... please share games settings and Radeon settings.
Kalthios Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 You don't have enough video memory. You can try turning everything off or to low and running at a low resolution, especially turn off 4k tex, antialiasing, shadows, and view distance as low as it will go.
CzechTexan Posted November 28, 2018 Author Posted November 28, 2018 hmm, I guess you're right. I didn't realize that! Well, I'm getting about 30fps with pretty good graphics and I guess I can live with that, for now. I've done lots of testing with different settings. If the settings are too low then it's just not enjoyable. I've found a good enough medium. Thanks for the tip, Kalthios. You saved me some worry and wasting time testing.
wombatBritishBulldogs Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 Agreed i'm running at present a 6gb 7990 on ultra with high shadows up to 100 fps down to 60 odd depending on altitude and how the server is feeling at the time ! you can also throttle the frames to 60 odd where it stays ! can also run both chips in the card via settings ingame and 1v1 in card settings or pre selected profile . also have 1080 but prefer the AMD for smooth looking game
