Pe-2 Series 35 non-blister turret animation when switching to turret after ai gunner has fired

Playing in MP/TAW.

 

Was flying a Pe-2 Ser 35 and my AI gunner called a target attacking me. He started firing and I switched to take over the position.

 

An animation then played of the non-blister turret opening before I could open fire.

As the AI gunner had been firing - the turret should have been ready for me to fire immediately.
