Salutations Tanks.

 

While tinkering with one of my tank missions I noticed some weird fire damage anomalies. A KV1 Heavy tank was hitting a German 38t light tank and the 38t was unaffected and kept moving and firing back all within 4-5 hundred meters of each other. Most unlikely results. I ran the mission several times and observed the same anomaly.

 

I ended up placing some 53k ATGs to take out the column of  38t. Most odd that he ATGs can take out the light tanks but the Kv1 can't. Something isn't right since the latest patch. ?

What ammunition are you using and what angle are you hitting them from? Wonder if it is possible that  your shots are overpenetrating? Though yea, this does sound like a bug.

I don't think the ammo type actually matters since there were multiple hits, be it AP or HE. The 38t Struck from front, side and rear. ?

Sorry for being late but I have noticed since the last update that in the " Hold The Line " missions, This firing practice mission, the tanks don't burst into flame like they used to. Now when hit they smoke and their id tag goes out but no explosions.

 

Can someone confirm this in their install?

Yes. can confirm that regarding AI tanks, same behaviour online (w/o tags), but I saw explosions after some more rounds hitting or just a while after standing with smoking engine.

Yes, there seem to be some anomalies with the tanks but I'm confident the developers will get things sorted out... eventually.  ?

I went into mission editor and changed the tanks to others and some did explode so it must just be certain vehicles.

Just normal with the new damage model.

Once the tag ID is gone, the object should count as killed.

Just had the same thing when attacking a BM-13 MRLS with my brave Pfalz D.IIIa.

The peashooter guns were unable to make the Rocket Launcher explode, but eventually the crew ran away and the ID tag disappeared and seconds thereafter, the server gave me credit for the kill.
