wolf74-ITA Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 When BOBP will be released? Is there a date?
Jade_Monkey Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Oh yes! Very soon, they are building it now! In all seriousness, the full release will be sometime around fall 2019 iirc.

reddog=11blueleader* Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 I'm sure it will be worth the wait...?

Middle of 2019 is the best guess. As with all IL-2 releases, we're in Early Access right now which means new content is arriving in pieces and it will slowly build towards the whole thing. We've got a good selection of aircraft now and I think once we see the map released then it will start to feel close to a finished product.
wolf74-ITA Posted November 26, 2018 Author Posted November 26, 2018 ok, thank you. But new aircrafts such as P47, can be used in BoM/BoS campaign, or only in istant mission?

They would not be in the campaigns since there is no place for them given the existing timelines/maps. The eastern front timeline effectively ends before 1944. The new aircraft are mid to late 1944.
Voidhunger Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 its simple: February 2019 - Dora and the Mustang April 2019 - P38 June 2019 - Tempest August 2019 - map, career mode, Me262 and B25(full release) September 2019 - Battle for Berlin (start of development) 1

Though a Ta152, P-47M, and some late war Russian aircraft would be nice. 1
EAF19_Marsh Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Dora appears most complete - mebbe Jan?

December- Dora February- Mustang, possibly map March/April- Tempest*, map for sure May/June- P-38*, Me-262, B-25, full release. I don't think they'll jump to Berlin after Bodenplatte, I think they'll go to the Pacific. If not, then full effort on FC and Tank Crew, and or Eastern Front 1943-44. Note: We haven't heard any news on the P-38 such as 3D models, but we have on the Tempest so that's why I state the Tempest will come out before the P-38. However, the team are searching for Tempest cockpits, so it could come out at the end.

However I am personally more interested in the announcement of possible collector planes for BoBP. Hope to hear that in January.

Maybe we can even get more than two since we never know if we'll return to the west after Bodenplatte.

If history is a guide, 1CGS has been able to sneak in the development of two additional aircraft between product releases. The Yak-1B Series 127 and Ju52/3m and then the La-5FN Series 2 and Bf109G-6. We've long been speculating that the same may happen with Bodenplatte and the list of potential aircraft is large. I've theorized about the Spitfire XIV, Typhoon IB, Mosquito FB.IV, and Ar234 as potential options that are at least within the realm of possibility. In theory even the Meteor III was flying in front line squadron service at the very end of the time period that 1CGS is representing (though it never scored air to air kills, it did conduct ground strikes). That's not to start another wishlist thread but just to give some examples of what could come post Bodenplatte launch. It would help fill the West Front ranks out especially if they are intending to jump to the Pacific 1942 after.

Besides we still are a semester or so away from the release date, so it could happen. I'd say that the possibility evaporated if a mere 1 or 2 months away from release not a single development pic appeared, but we are far from that. Given the intense work that a new plane represents, and that it is easier to use some of the existing 3D models, I would add to your speculation that another spit or the typhoon is more likely that the mosquito. I mean, if 3 months away from release (so say, march?) there is no news or even an image of a crude mosquito model, I'd say the window is closed for an entirely new model. I myself have my fingers crossed for a B26, a B25 kr even a Ventura, mostly for the same reasons you mentioned!
