So today I drove an hour to the Blairstown airport intending to do just that. But somehow, despite the condition of my own driveway, I failed to consider this... There was a bit of a crosswind and I haven't flown but twice since October. The thought of catching one of these banks and cartwheeling into a heap of wood, metal (and me) changed my mind and I just had a sandwich at the restaurant instead. Anyway, as long as we are suggesting things, I want snow banks. Those pictured don't look like much but they top out at about 5 feet. The Stalingrad runways were obviously plowed, right? What did they do with the snow? My guess is that they did just what my airport did above.
Cybermat47 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Well, when I last played the game about a month ago, I could (and would) just veer of the runway and take off from the snow. Seeing as that would be impossible with snow banks, I'm all for snow banks!
