Yes, you have to carefully read and follow the setup instructions, but it is definitely worth the effort.

VR is a game changer.

On my modest system, specs listed above, I am able to get very acceptable performance and visual quality.

Use with Windows drivers for that Innatek card, not the Fresco Logic drivers.

Edit: Also go in device manager and disable power management for those USB 3 ports.  I know the Fresco Logic drivers re-enables power management with each boot - least it used to. The Windows drivers will not.

Hi dbourne,

Never installed the fresco drivers all windows drivers, I still have my monitor plugged into to a HDMI port on the GPU as well as the Rift would this create a problem?

Hmm well it shouldn't I would think, but can you try plugging your monitor into a display port and just the Rift in HDMI?

Or maybe even shut down and try swapping hdmi ports with the Rift and Monitor?

I have swapped the cable over, when I looked at the Asus site it seems that 1 HDMI is for VR and the other for a monitor, still seem to have a problem I have just unistall all Oculus software and I'm  about to re-install and try again, wish me luck!

Do you have other USB 3 ports you can try?

You can also try plugging just the headset usb in USB 3, and sensors in USB 2.

:good:

Do you have Steam VR installed?

Also do you have " Allow third party apps" selected for your Rift?

VR Checked in IL-2 graphic settings?

If yes to the above, just launch IL-2 from either inside Oculus Home ( should have a shortcut there), or from your IL-2 exe on your desktop.

Steam VR will start automatically, and then shortly after you should be in the Hanger in IL-2 in VR.

You are most welcome!

Look in your systray for the sound icon, change from your default sound to Rift sound.

Yeah take it in short bursts at first, took me a week or two to get my "VR Legs".

Thanks for the follow up there, dburne.

That was useful infos. regards the fresco drivers...I had that problem for ages. Finally got tired of playing with the spotty onboard USB 3.0 drivers on my ancient 4790k/Maximus VII and replaced with a dedicated 4 hub USB 3.0 card and ever since then all is well. Going to upgrade to an 8700k and a 1080ti so the Rift should be able to super-sample it up a bit in some of my titles.
