Night Mode for Maps?

First off, I am relatively new to this latest version of IL2, just a week old, Bought it because of VR support. 

Anyway, I enjoy playing the night missions, much like I did in 1946, however I noticed the same complaint I had back then.

THE MAP BLINDS ME DURING NIGHT MISSIONS. Even more so in VR.

Is there a mod to fix that or has anyone made the suggestion to the Devs to make a night time version of the map, akin to the GPS in my cars?

Anxious for a fix.

Haven't played at night time in a looong time but the map uaed to switch to night mode. Unless it has changed, that should already be a feature.

Not so with the other map.
