With new update comong how do I ensure old Single Missions & scripted campaigns will work afterwards?

I believe I read somewhere they can be saved as a group in the Mission Editor ( somehow)then put back in their proper place after the new update is installed ( hopefully next Friday November 23rd?) but I can't remember where i read this or if it was expected to work ( or for that matter whether this recurring upgrade patch problem has been solved by the developers...?)?
